About the company/role: Our client is a growing radiopharmaceutical company expanding its operations in Brisbane. They are seeking a Radiochemist to join their R&D Technical Development team, supporting the development of radiolabelled drug products and pre-clinical programs. This is a hands-on laboratory-based role where you will work closely with Pre-clinical, Drug Discovery and other scientific teams. You will be involved in the preparation and testing of radiolabelled drug products, formulation and process-development activities, analytical testing and the preparation of materials for pre-clinical studies. This is an excellent opportunity for a scientist with strong practical laboratory experience who is looking to develop their expertise in radiopharmaceutical and drug product development. Duties:Prepare radiolabelled compounds and radioactive materials for R&D and pre-clinical studies.Prepare and coordinate study materials for in vitro and in vivo studies in line with project requirements and timelines.Perform radiolabelling, formulation and drug product development experiments.Investigate variables such as activity, concentration, formulation composition, pH, reaction conditions and hold times.Use analytical techniques including HPLC, radio-HPLC and radio-TLC to assess radiolabelling performance and product quality.Prepare reagents, buffers and experimental solutions required for development activities.Record experimental work accurately and maintain comprehensive laboratory documentation.Analyse experimental data and prepare data summaries, tables and figures.Investigate unexpected experimental or analytical results and support follow-up experiments and troubleshooting.
