About the company/role: Our client, a leading global environmental services organisation, is seeking an experienced Permit to Work (PTW) Officer to join their team on the Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline Project in Alton Downs, Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role during the commissioning phase of a major infrastructure project, supporting the safe execution of high-risk activities across the site. Working within a collaborative commissioning team, you will be responsible for managing the Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) systems, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with site procedures and WHS requirements. Duties:Manage the Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) systems during commissioning activities.Review, approve and issue permits for high-risk work activities.Prepare Permit Isolation Instructions (PIIs) and coordinate equipment isolations.Support the implementation and maintenance of commissioning PTW procedures and associated documentation.Deliver PTW training and commissioning inductions to site personnel and contractors.Maintain permit records, training records and PTW documentation.Conduct PTW audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with approved permits and safety requirements.Manage energisation lock boxes and support isolation activities.Liaise with commissioning supervisors, engineers, contractors and operations personnel to ensure safe work execution.Prepare weekly reports and permit statistics.Skills/experience:Demonstrated experience administering Permit to Work systems within construction, commissioning, industrial, utilities, mining, oil & gas or operating plant environments.Strong knowledge and practical experience with Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) systems and isolation procedures.Understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practices in high-risk environments.Experience reviewing risk assessments, SWMS, JSEAs and permit documentation.Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and work effectively within a fast-paced project environment.Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite applications.Construction White Card and current Driver's Licence required.Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent) highly regarded.Apply!
