About the company/role: Our client is a Gelato ingredient and pre-mix manufacturer who supplies who supplies high-quality ingredients to well-known food service chains. Their site is based in Western Sydney and they are seeking a Sales & Technical manager to join their team in a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fully-office based role with a reasonable amount of travel involved. The role will report directly to the National Sales Manager and will have 3 direct reports. The ideal background for this role is someone who comes from a Chef/ Kitchen background with hands-on experience with dairy/ gelato products. Duties:Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customersIdentify new business opportunities and expand the customer baseNegotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements in line with company strategyTrack sales performance, forecast demand, and report on market trendsDevelop a deep understanding of the production process, flavour profiles, and ingredient standardsProvide guidance to customers and resolve any technical issuesSupport the development of new flavours by relaying customer feedback and market insightsWork closely with procurement and production to ensure orders, volumes, and delivery schedules align with customer needsSkills/experience: Professional background as a chef, pastry chef, or in a commercial kitchen environmentStrong understanding of food production, flavour development, and ingredient qualityPrevious experience in sales, account management, or customer‑facing rolesExcellent communications skills when dealing with customers and cross-functional team membersComfortable negotiating pricing, managing objections, and supporting long‑term relationshipsStrong attention to detail, especially when coordinating orders, deliveries, and customer requirementsPassion for high‑quality food and a genuine interest in flavour, craftsmanship, and innovationApply!If you think this could be the role for you then please apply now!
