About the company:  Our client is a national food and beverage manufacturer of globally renowned brands.  With sites based across Australia, their Brisbane site is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician for a casual assignment for 2-3 months, with the possibility of extension. This role will require you to complete a pre-employment medical and you must be able to start immediately! This role is a casual position, working rotating day and night shifts (12-hour shifts across a 24/7 roster). Hours may vary from week to week depending on production schedules. As a laboratory technician you will be responsible for QC analysis using HPLC, as well as routine chemical and physical testing of in-process products.  Other duties will include equipment calibration, preparing standards for analytical equipment and assisting the Quality team. Selection Criteria: To be considered for this position you MUST have:Bachelor of Science, preferably Chemistry, but other disciplines will be considered;Previous experience working in the beverage and/or food manufacturing industry is advantageous;Demonstrated laboratory technical skills in wet chemistry and analytical techniques;Experience working with HPLC is essential;Knowledge of operation, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment;Understanding of GMP highly desired;High attention to detail and excellent record keeping skills;The ability to work in a fast-paced environment;Ability to work autonomously and excellent communication skills;Your own reliable vehicle (this company is not located near public transport)  Apply!
