About the Role: We are currently recruiting a casual full-time TO5 Principal Science Technician for our QLD State Government client, based in the western suburbs of Brisbane. This role is Monday to Friday until December 2025 with the possibility of further extension. The successful candidate will be part of the Quality Team that provides support to the Vaccine Production and Quality Control team leaders.Duties:Support scientific diagnostic services by providing high-level technical specialist services and advice to work unit, business area and external stakeholders. Where relevant this may include providing timely, high level, expert and authoritative advice on policy and legislative issues and suggesting solutions to complex problems based on rigorous analysis of relevant information.Manage and guide project team members to ensure that scientific tasks undertaken to achieve project outcomes are in accordance with relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocols or methodologies. This includes demonstrating a high level of initiative and ability to work with limited guidance whilst individually undertaking highly specialised/complex tasks or taking on leadership responsibility involving direct supervision of project team members undertaking routine or moderately complex tasks.Manage own and, where relevant, teamwork priorities to ensure assigned scientific technical tasks are undertaken efficiently and effectively to achieve project/team aims and deliverables.Lead a team or contribute respected and recognised expertise in a field of technical speciality, demonstrating flexibility to manage changing priorities.Significantly contribute to ongoing improvement, validation and currency of scientific practices within work unit and wider business area.Where relevant, responsible for managing and overseeing a team of technical staff, including associated corporate governance compliance and people management duties (HR policy, WHS management, leave, timesheets etc).Drive team technical capability development by creating and contributing to learning opportunities to ensure staff develop and maintain the capabilities they require to perform their role effectively, confidently and safely.Skills/experience: A Diploma in a scientific field or equivalent academic qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution that can be registered in Queensland.Experience in leadership and managing teams.In depth understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)Experience with quality management systemsVaccination or immunity to Q Fever will be mandatory. About the role:Our Client, Pure Environmental, is a leader in liquid and solid hazardous waste management, organics recycling and contaminated site remediation, who deliver innovative solutions to solve their client`s most challenging waste and contaminated site problems.  They are seeking a Chemist to join their Brisbane based team, working in an industrial setting in the waste sector on a permanent basis. About the company and role: We are currently seeking a Technician Operator to join the Operations team as part of a plastic manufacturing company on a contract with view to go permanent.  This is a full-time position working across Monday-Friday, requiring flexibility between both 5am-12pm and weekends.
