About the Role Our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in the Western suburbs of Brisbane, is seeking a Technical Officer to join their Quality Assurance team on a fixed-term contract through to the end of 2026. This is a hands-on technical role focused on the calibration, maintenance, and compliance of laboratory equipment within a regulated GMP environment. It is well suited to a candidate with a scientific background who is looking to gain, or further develop, practical experience in QA and laboratory operations within the pharmaceutical industry. Please note: The site is not accessible via public transport, therefore reliable private transport is essential. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:Performing calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment (e.g. balances, dissolution systems, HPLC, GC)Investigating incidents, analysing calibration data and trends, and troubleshooting equipment issuesSupporting internal stakeholders and liaising with external service providersEnsuring GMP compliance, accurate documentation, and timely record keepingContributing to safety initiatives, risk assessments, and other duties as required Skills & Experience The successful candidate will have:A degree in Science (preferably Chemistry or a related discipline)Experience in a laboratory or technical environment; calibration experience is highly regarded but not essentialAn understanding of GMP or working within a regulated environment (advantageous)Strong attention to detail and documentation skillsThe ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholdersA proactive, safety-focused, and solutions-driven approach Apply Now!
