We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer . This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts receivable process of the organization including invoicing customers, monitoring payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
Reporting to the CFO your duties will include:
Prepare and issue customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner across Australia and
Monitor accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Follow up on overdue accounts through phone, email, or written correspondence.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve payment discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
Generate and analyse aging reports and escalate collection issues when necessary.
Assist with month-end closing activities and provide reports as required.
Support the Finance team with audits and other ad hoc projects.
Product Monthly Sales Reports to the CEO
Produce Monthly Sales Reports to the Board of Directors to meet the month end deadline
To be successful you will also possess the following :
Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related accounting function.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero and Microsoft Dynamics preferable but not essential) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
High level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
