Evolve Scientific Recruitment is seeking an
APS5 (Scientific) Risk Manager to join our client for a 6-month temporary assignment. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safe registration and management of agricultural chemicals, supporting Australia’s agricultural sector and environmental safety.
Key Responsibilities- Review scientific advice and legislative requirements to support registration recommendations for agricultural products.
- Evaluate technical and scientific information, applying regulatory risk assessment principles.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution.
- Prepare correspondence, briefs, reports, manuals, guidelines, and policies to support regulatory processes.
- Ensure confidentiality of commercial information and compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Manage application workflow to achieve timely processing within legislated deadlines.
About You- Tertiary qualifications in biology, agricultural or horticultural science, entomology, weed science, pharmacology, toxicology, or physiology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide advice on complex scientific issues.
- Excellent organisational skills to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
