Our client is a leading multidisciplinary laboratory services group operating across Australia and New Zealand. The business delivers a comprehensive suite of testing services across a spectrum of industries.
The client is seeking a dynamic
Business Development Manager to drive growth, build strong client relationships, and position the organisation as a leader in environmental and occupational testing services. This is a pivotal role where you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on business development, and achieving ambitious revenue targets.
This position is:
- Based in Perth
- Requires regular travel
- A permanent opportunity, with full-time hours
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:- Lead Generation & Account Management
- Generate leads and cold-call prospective clients
- Provide accurate quotes and follow up to secure conversions
- Review client contracts and agreement
- Business Development
- Present the organisation’s value proposition to prospective clients
- Conduct regular client visits (including top 5 clients every six months)
- Attend industry events and conferences to identify opportunities
- Collaborate on marketing materials and prepare tenders
- Team Leadership
- Conduct performance reviews and set clear development goals
- Build a positive, inclusive team culture
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Encourage innovation in sales and account management
About you:- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or related field (preferred)
- Strong mineral and/or metallurgical-related background
- Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally in environmental or related industries and laboratory services
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet revenue targets
- A natural leader who thrives on building relationships
