Department of Veterans' Affairs are seeking multiple clinicians to deliver vital phone-based mental health services to Australian veterans and their families.
Clinicians work in a rostered 24/7 environment across 7 days within a hybrid work from office/home model
Training provided
12-month contract
Based in Melbourne CBD
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and be able to commit to a rostered 24/7 work environment and possess experience in mental health settings providing intake and assessment and, evidence-based brief counselling intervention
Duties:
Provide trauma-informed intake, risk assessments, and counselling
Triage and refer clients to appropriate services
Maintain documentation within client management systems
Participate in supervision and ongoing professional development
Liaise and attend regular meetings with the Assistant Director and other Clinicians to review client cases.
Liaise with clients’ family members and additional treatment providers and/or other Open Arms/DVA stakeholders to coordinate care.
About you:
Currently hold or ability to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People registration OR Working with Children check
AHPRA-registered Psychologist, OT, RN or AASW/PACFA/ACA member
Experience in mental health and telephone-based services
Outstanding communication, judgement, and IT skills
Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotating roster
