About the Company & Role: 
Join a Leading Veterinary Pharmaceutical Company who specialize in the development and manufacturing of veterinary medicines.
 
The EHS Officer will lead and drive continuous improvement of the site safety management system, ensuring compliance with Australian and NSW legislation and alignment with global EHS standards.
 
Duties:
  • Conduct and update risk assessments across manufacturing, R&D and labs.
  • Implement and verify control measures through inspections.
  • Maintain chemical registers, SDS and issue work permits.
  • Run contractor inductions and verify licences.
  • Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
  • Assist with internal EHS audits and environmental monitoring.
  • Maintain emergency equipment and support emergency planning/drills.
  • Deliver EHS training, toolbox talks and keep training records up to date.
 
Skills & Experience:
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience in EHS within manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of NSW WHS Regulations and relevant Codes of Practice (hazardous chemicals, risk management, confined spaces)
  • Strong understanding of risk management and incident investigation methodologies
  • Experience with permits-to-work, contractor management, incident investigation, and risk assessment
