About the company/role:
Our client, a leading instrumentation manufacturer, are looking for an experienced Calibration Technician to join their team on a 4-5 month temporary basis with potential for extension.

Located in the Eastern Suburbs of Brisbane, this role involves extensive travel around the Brisbane metropolitan area, and occasionally to Mackay, Townsville and Cairns.

This is the perfect opportunity for an outgoing, driven individual, with a background in electronics or science, looking to gain valuable customer engagement and account management experience!

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, this role is responsible for carrying out all external certifications of enclosures and temperature control instrumentation.

  • Carrying out all external certifications, including ovens, freezers, baths, temperature instrumentation and sensors on-site;
  • Liaise with customers to organise re-certification testing;
  • Undertake fault finding and correction activities of problems on-site;
  • Undertake quality assurance activities;
  • Generating quotes, certification reports and invoices;
  • Travel to visit customer sites.

  • Previous experience calibrating instruments in a NATA accredited laboratory is required;
  • MUST have own car and license;
  • Electronic or scientific qualifications;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven report writing experience;
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • The flexibility to travel to customer sites, predominantly based in Brisbane, but occasionally in Mackay, Townsville and Cairns.
