About the company/role: Our client is a distributor of analytical instrumentation across a wide range of industries including food, pharmaceutical, medical and other laboratory sectors. This role will deal directly with Laboratory Managers and distributors within these sectors. The office is based in Northwest Sydney but this position will be on the road visiting client in Sydney and across Australia on a weekly basis.
Duties:
Develop a deep understanding of the product range offering
Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers
Identify opportunities for expansion in new and existing accounts
Build on-going relationships with customers and act as the key point of contact
Work collaboratively with internal sales and technical team members
Manage own schedule and organise client visits across Australia
Conduct market research on emerging opportunities
Attend trade shows and industry events domestically
Skills/experience:
Previous experience in a sales role is required
Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry or a related discipline is highly regarded
Full drivers license is essential
Ability to travel and work independently while also being part of a wider team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage on-going customer relationships
Commercial mindset with solution-selling capability
