About the Role:Our client, a leading supplier of radiographic equipment is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to support customers across Australia and New Zealand.
This role suits someone with solid technical capability, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.
You will be the first point of contact for technical support, providing pre‑ and post‑sales assistance across a broad product range. The position involves equipment installations, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer training. You’ll also contribute to identifying new business opportunities and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:Customer Support & Sales- Provide first-tier technical support and assist with resolving equipment issues.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and service standards.
- Support sales activities, including identifying opportunities and attending industry events.
- Keep up to date with product training and technical developments.
Service Delivery- Install and commission new equipment in line with procedures and manufacturer requirements.
- Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing, and equipment validation.
- Diagnose and repair faults, escalating complex issues when necessary.
Customer Training & Pre-Sales- Deliver basic equipment training and support demonstrations and trials.
General- Follow safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Support internal teams with technical product knowledge.
- Participate in quality management processes.
Selection Criteria:To be successful in this position you must meet the following selection criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or biomedical engineering with honours.
- Current drivers license and own vehicle.
- Willingness to undertake frequent work-related travel, sometimes at short notice.
- Strong customer service and problem‑solving capability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
