Field Technician

About the company/role:

• Water management company
• Seeking a Field Technician to join the team testing for water leakage throughout the streets of Western Australia
• No experience required!
• 4-month casual contract
• Fulltime hours, Mon-Fri
• 5am start time
• Travel required across WA and must be able to drive a manual car
• Immediate start

Duties, but not limited to:

• Detect and locate water leaks within underground water and utility networks
• Operate leak detection and diagnostic equipment to identify faults
• Conduct field inspections along streets, roads, and utility corridors
• Record and report findings using mobile applications and work management systems
• Mark leak locations for repair and maintenance crews
• Investigate customer and network-related water loss issues
• Maintain and calibrate field testing equipment
• Comply with safety, environmental, and traffic management requirements
• Complete field reports and documentation accurately and on time

Skills/experience required:

• No experience required - full training provided!
• Must have a manual driving license
• Ability to travel across WA as per schedule
• Perform the physical requirements of the role, including prolonged periods of walking (up to 15km per day), standing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Excellent communication skills and strong organisational skills
• Strong listening skills and high attention to detail
