Fitter/Operator

About the company/role:

• Growing agricultural-based company
• Based close to Geelong
• Casual contract with potential to go permanent
• Full-time hours (5 days a week)
• 2x positions available - 1 position must cover the weekend
• ASAP start

Duties, but not limited to:

• Install, assemble and maintain mechanical equipment (pumps, valves, conveyors, etc)
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs
• Operate machinery, monitor performance and adjust equipment settings as needed
• Fabricate and modify components using tools if required
• Adhere to safety and environmental rules at all times
• Collaborate with other fitters and operators to meet operational targets

Skills/experience:

• Must have proven fitter and/or operator experience in plant operations
• Must have relevant qualifications (e.g. completed apprenticeship, Cert in Mechanical Trade, etc) and a white card
• Strong work ethic with a positive and willing to learn attitude
• Strong communication skills
