About the company/role: We are currently recruiting for a Food Laboratory Technician to work with an iconic Australian-owned juice manufacturer based in the Western Suburbs. It is a casual, full-time position that follows and flexibility is required to work across day, afternoon and night shift. This role is ideal for a Food Science graduate who is eager to gain experience with a leading beverage manufacturer.
Duties:- Chemical and microbial analysis of beverage samples
- Interpreting results and positively releasing batches
- Sensory evaluation of beverage samples
- Calibration of laboratory equipment
- Ensure highest levels of HACCP and GMP
- Following and improving cleaning & sanitation programs
Skills & Requirements:- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or Microbiology
- Experience in a food/beverage laboratory environment is highly regarded
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is beneficial
- Good understanding of quality standards and HACCP
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills, MS Word/Excel
- Excellent eye for detail and accuracy skills
