About the company/role: Our client is an aerosol manufacturing company that manufactures a range of products: edible spray oils, pesticides, cleaning, personal care, car care and more. This role is based in Western Sydney and is a casual day shift, full-time, on-going role with permanent opportunities. Our client is seeking a someone with a food science background to join their team to support the edible oils product range.
Duties:- Manage site certifications – SQF, GMP, Halal
- Lead internal audits and assist with external audits
- Manage approved supplier programs
- Carry out annual label reviews and validate nutritional information
- Basic product testing – colour, viscosity, pH
- Send samples for testing and coordinate with external laboratories
- Food safety and SOPs training for production team members
Skills/experience: - Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment is essential
- Previous experience working with edible oils is highly regarded
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Proactive individual
