Food Quality Officer

About company/role:

• We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QA/QC professional to join a well-established food and beverage manufacturing environment.
• This is a casual opportunity offering flexibility across morning, afternoon, and night shifts, suited to candidates who thrive in a fast-paced production setting.
  

Duties/responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Conduct routine quality control testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products 
• Perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory and production equipment 
• Investigate customer complaints and assist in identifying root causes of non-conformances 
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results across products, packaging, and environmental samples 
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality and production records 
• Support general housekeeping and GMP compliance activities 
• Participate in internal and external audits 
• Ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards 

Skills/experience:

• Tertiary education in Food Science or similar
• Proven experience in a similar position in a food or beverage manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of GMP and HACCP
• Ability to build relationships with junior and senior staff across different departments
• Must be adaptable and have high attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
