Food Science/Chemistry Students

About company/role:

• Work with a major food/beverage manufacturing company within the QA/QC team
• Based in Southeast suburbs of Melbourne
• Night shift (10pm-6am), full-time till the end of December 2024
• Remain on-call next year for any shifts (day, afternoon, night)
• Seeking current students in Food Science or Chemistry

Duties, but not limited to:

• Collecting samples from manufacturing line
• QC testing of raw materials and finished products using basic wet chemistry techniques (titrations, pH, brix, HPLC)
• Batch release
• Assisting with sensory evaluations
• Data entry and result compilation
• Check and fill-in quality paperwork
• General housekeeping and maintenance of lab

Skills/experience:

• Currently studying a Bachelor in Food science, Chemistry, or similar (2nd or 3rd year) 
• Good understanding of chemistry analytical skills
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and food safety standards
• Excellent communication skills and time management
• Must have a car
