About the Company: Our client is an established food manufacturer producing pastry, ready meals, slow-cooked products, soups and salads for major Australian retailers.
About the Role: This full-time
9-month maternity leave contract will support the NPD team through the later stages of product development, with a focus on soups, meals and salads.
You will manage smaller NPD projects, coordinate factory trials and ensure products are successfully handed over to production.
Key responsibilities:- Coordinating factory-scale trials and product launches
- Liaising with production, operations, QA and chefs
- Preparing factory recipes, batch sheets and production handover documents
- Developing photo standards, quality guides and manufacturing instructions
- Supporting first production runs and troubleshooting scale-up issues
- Completing product specifications, trial reports and launch documentation
About You:- Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline
- 2+ years of food manufacturing or NPD experience
- Experience coordinating factory trials and product scale-up
- Strong technical documentation and production handover skills
- Experience with short-shelf-life, chilled or meat products is highly regarded
- Adaptable, hands-on and willing to learn
