Food Technologist (Maternity Leave Cover)

About company/role:

• Innovative food/beverage manufacturing company
• Based in the Western suburbs of Melbourne
• Casual contract covering maternity leave
• Fulltime hours, Monday - Friday
• Open to Working Holiday Visas
• Ideal start in Jan/Feb

Your duties, but not limited to:

• Develop and test products, recipes and formulations
• Conduct benchwork analysis to improve existing products
• Document process, trials and results for regulatory and internal use
• Work closely with production, quality and other departments onsite
• Review and update documentation
• Assist with QA general duties such as reviewing SOPs, ensuring GMP standards, reviewing CoAs, customer complaints and non-conformances
• General housekeeping

Your skills/experience:

• Tertiary education in Food Science or related discipline
• Proven experience in a similar role as a Food Technologist
• Understanding of GMP and FSANZ
• Previous experience in a quality role (nice to have)
• Excellent communication skills
• Eager to learn and positive attitude
