About the company and role:

The company is a well-established leader in the field of nuclear science research and is recognised worldwide.
 
The Innovation Research Assistant will play a key role in supporting the collaboration, facilitation, and development of innovation initiatives.
This position is well-suited for someone who has studied innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship and has experience running independent projects.
 
  • Innovation Culture - introduce new tools, resources, and methods that promote creative thinking and problem-solving
  • Design Innovation Research - partnering with a university’s design factory as part of an applied innovation program
  • Program Facilitation - facilitate innovation programs and workshops for staff, business members, and students. Develop events for knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Collaboration - work closely with students from the Applied Innovation Program, assist in identifying synergies between research and other projects or initiatives to drive innovation outcomes
 
 
Skills & experience:
  • Degree in Innovation, Design, Science Communication, Business, or related field
  • Experience in program design, workshop facilitation, and/or community engagement
  • Demonstrated understanding of research methods and research output, including non-traditional research outputs, with a focus on qualitative methods
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on research projects, particularly in innovation and design
  • Experience in design thinking, design innovation, and/or entrepreneurship
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment

  • Office located in South Sydney (parking available) – driver’s licence and own transportation required
  • Contracted through Evolve Scientific, negotiable hourly rate depending on experience
