We’re Hiring: Instrumentation & Automation Engineer (Malaysia)
I’m supporting a fast-growing pharmaceutical manufacturing site looking for a hands-on Instrumentation & Automation Engineer to maintain and optimise a wide range of automated production systems.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and troubleshoot automation, electrical, and instrumentation systems across production equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues quickly to reduce downtime.
• Support equipment start-up, testing, and system verification activities.
• Improve control logic, machine performance, and system reliability.
• Guide and develop technicians on equipment operation and fault-finding.
• Ensure all engineering work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Complete technical reports, maintenance records, and system documentation.
Requirements:
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation, or related engineering fields.
• 4–8 years’ experience in automation/maintenance engineering in a regulated or high-volume manufacturing environment (pharma/biotech/FMCG/semicon all welcome).
• Strong technical skills in PLCs, control systems, instrumentation, and troubleshooting.
• Able to read technical drawings and investigate equipment faults in detail.
• Comfortable working in clean/controlled environments.
• A proactive mindset with strong ownership and communication skills.
