Laboratory Technician for a casual assignment.
This role will require you to complete a pre-employment medical and you must be
able to start immediately!
About the Role:This role is a casual position, working
rotating day and night shifts (12-hour shifts across a 24/7 roster). Hours may vary from week to week depending on production schedules.
As a laboratory technician you will be responsible for QC analysis using HPLC, as well as routine chemical and physical testing of in-process products. Other duties will include equipment calibration, preparing standards for analytical equipment and assisting the Quality team.
Selection Criteria:To be considered for this position you
MUST have:
- Bachelor of Science, preferably Chemistry, but other disciplines will be considered;
- Previous experience working in the beverage and/or food manufacturing industry is advantageous;
- Demonstrated laboratory technical skills in wet chemistry and analytical techniques;
- Experience working with HPLC is essential;
- Knowledge of operation, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment;
- Understanding of GMP highly desired;
- High attention to detail and excellent record keeping skills;
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work autonomously and excellent communication skills;
- Your own reliable vehicle (this company is not located near public transport)
