- Ongoing casual role - $49 – 55p/hr super
- Full-time, Monday-Friday, flexible 9am-5pm
About the company/role: Based in the south of Sydney, this well-known government organisation undertakes research in nuclear science and technology and provides specialised advice to government, industry, academia and other research organisations.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in routine laboratory environment, under regulated guidelines.
Responsibilities will include:
- Sample preparation, radioactive samples eg acid digestions, use of Hydrofluoric acid
- Calibrations and checks of laboratory equipment eg balances, showers
- General laboratory housekeeping - stock management, preparing solutions
- Prepare necessary documentation for reporting results
Skills & experience:- Tertiary qualifications in chemistry or related
- Hold a current driving licence car ideally
- Expertise conduct routine experiments in a regulated environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Australian Citizenship required for security clearance
Culture/Benefits: - This is a full time contract
- The hourly rate will be dependent on experience: $49 - 55p/hr super including casual loading
- Public transport to the company is limited, but plenty of parking is available.
- Monday to Friday, 36.75 hours/week
