About the company/role: Our client, a global manufacturing company, is currently seeking a
qualified Fitter to join their Maintenance and Reliability team for 12-months with potential for permanency. Offering 38+ hours per week, Monday to Friday, this role is critical in ensuring all plant and equipment on site is maintained and/or repaired in a timely manner.

Note: the successful candidate must be able to work morning and afternoon shifts, rotating on a weekly basis, and complete a criminal history check and a medical test, including drug screening. Duties:- You will undertake maintenance duties on plant and equipment to optimise operational efficiency of the site
- Undertake plant and equipment breakdown fault finding and repairs in all areas of the site
- Provide preventative maintenance to all areas of the site
- Contribute to the decision-making process for all Continuous Process Improvement teams
- Ensure that accurate Maintenance records are completed for activities
Skills/experience: To be successful in this role, you MUST have/be:
- A trade qualification – Fitter and Turner, Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly and efficiently
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals
- Strong collaboration with other maintenance staff, engineers, and production teams
- A safety conscious approach with knowledge of relevant industry safety standards
- Previous experience within the manufacturing sector is highly desired
- A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise tasks and accurately maintain records for completed activities
- Current driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle as the site is difficult to access via public transport
