About the company/role:
Our client, a TGA-licensed leader in complementary medicines and bio-fermented products, are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their dynamic operations team.
 
This is a permanent, full-time position. Monday to Friday 6:45am – 3:15pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays.
 
Duties will include:
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of machinery, equipment and systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, and implement appropriate repairs or modifications on a wide variety of machines including but not limited; liquid and powder blending and filling packing lines, tablet press, encapsulation, blister , sachet, bottle packing lines, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and servicing to minimise downtime
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Collaborate with the wider team to identify and implement improvements
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Complete daily shift report and communicate daily plant and optimisation matters to all internal stakeholders
 
Skills/experience:
  • Trade qualification as a Fitter, Turner or Machinist
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, food, or FMCG industry preferred).
  • Lean manufacturing principles and process optimisation.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills
  • Commitment to working safely and following procedures
  • Good communication, teamwork skills and computer literacy.
