An exciting opportunity is available for a
Maintenance Fitter to join the maintenance team in Rutherford. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for preventative and planned maintenance, fault finding, breakdown repairs and equipment improvement activities across a busy manufacturing site.
Duties- Perform preventative and planned maintenance across manufacturing and production equipment
- Fault find, troubleshoot and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Complete equipment repairs, installations and modifications as required
- Support equipment reliability, continuous improvement and maintenance projects
- Prepare maintenance reports, escalate equipment issues and liaise with the maintenance team to support safe and efficient site operations
Skills & Experience- Trade qualified Fitter or Machinist with a minimum of 1-year post-apprenticeship experience within a manufacturing environment
- Dual trade qualifications (Fitter & Electrician, Mechanical & Electrical, or Machinist & Electrician) - highly regarded
- Experience within pharmaceutical, food or other GMP-regulated manufacturing environments - highly regarded
- Forklift Ticket - highly regarded
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems - highly regarded
- Welding experience - highly regarded
- Working at Heights or Confined Space - highly regarded
- Strong preventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting experience
- Safety-focused with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
