Maintenance Fitter

About the company/role:

• Pharmaceutical manufacturing company
• Based in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne
• Seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join the team to work across afternoon and night shifts
• Immediate Start

Duties, but are not limited to:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs according to SOPs and maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Assemble, install, and adjust machinery and equipment as required.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and workshop housekeeping.
• Provide technical support to production staff and respond to urgent breakdowns or project work, including overtime if needed.
• Conduct all maintenance activities in compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Skills/experience:

• Prior experience as a Manitanence Fitter within a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to read technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights if required
• Strong understanding of cGMP, OH&S, and environmental requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Positive, adaptable, and solution-focused approach to maintenance challenges.
