Evolve Scientific are currently searching for a highly skilled Maintenance Planner/Manager to join with one of our clients in the pharmaceuticals space.

About the role:


Based in the near-CBD of Melbourne, this Maintenance Planner will be responsible for ensuring that all plant maintenance and documentation across multiple sites is planned, completed, and validated according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). The Maintenance Planning Group (MPG) carries out the main maintenance planning and scheduling functions for the M&U and other departments, as well as the major facilities shutdown management and coordination. The group also manages the Engineering Stores function and associated facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance planning, scheduling and management
  • Major facility shutdown management and coordination
  • Engineering Stores management
  • General site facility maintenance management
  • Drawing Office services for the site including project, baseline and GxP drawings.
  • Retrieve planned maintenance (PM) scheduled Work Orders from SAP, in advance of their due date of completion to agreed timeframes.
  • General administration services for the M&U departments
  • Create, own, use and maintain Plant history and other technical files to assist with planning of future jobs.
 
To be considered for the role, the ideal candidates must have:
 
  • At Minimum, 5+ years’ experience as a maintenance planner within a highly regulated industry (pharmaceuticals, beverages, dairy, etc.)
  • Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline (mechanical, electrical or chemical) from a recognised educational institution, OR post-trade technical qualification suitable to the requirements of the post.
  • Familiarity with the operation of a modern maintenance environment utilising a Computerised Maintenance Management System.
To be successful for the role, the ideal candidates will have:
 
  • A recognised qualification in maintenance management.
  • Sub-professional training/qualifications in planning of maintenance or capital works
  • Experience in the planning of maintenance activities in a processing plant using modern computer-based planning systems.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and the constraints that apply in accessing process equipment.
  • An understanding of the requirements of the code of GMP as applied in the pharmaceutical industry
