About the company/role: Our client, a global manufacturing company, is currently seeking an experienced
Maintenance Supervisor to join their Maintenance team on a
full-time, permanent basis. This role is critical in ensuring all plant and equipment on site is maintained and/or repaired in a timely manner.
Note: the successful candidate must be able to work fornightly rotating morning and afternoon shifts and complete a criminal history check and a medical test, including drug and alcohol screening. Duties:- Develop and oversee the execution of the Preventative Maintenance Programme, ensuring reliability and compliance.
- Ensure that all work is performed safely, competently, and in line with relevant standards and regulations.
- Provide technical leadership to the maintenance team, setting expectations, ensuring accountability and maximising plant efficiency.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to deliver efficient service and minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate, compliant GMP documentation and equipment records in alignment with SOPs.
- Drive plant improvements by managing equipment modifications that enhance safety, efficiency, and performance.
- Take a lead role in identifying and resolving hazards; develop engineering-based safety solutions.
- Promote a strong safety culture, track key safety KPIs, and support site-wide initiatives.
Skills/experience: To be successful in this role, you MUST have/be:
- A trade qualification – Fitter and Turner, Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (minimum 4 years), ideally pharmaceutical, food or beverage
- A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise tasks and accurately maintain records for completed activities
- Previous experience leading a team
- Electrical licence (preferred)
- Forklift licence (preferred)
- Current driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle as the site is difficult to access via public transport
