About the company/role: Our client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company, is currently seeking a
Maintenance Trade Assistant for a 12 month casual position within their Maintenance team. Offering 38+ hours per week, Monday to Friday, this role is critical in ensuring all plant and equipment on site is maintained and/or repaired in a timely manner.
Experience within maintenance of manufacturing is desirable, however not essential!
Note: the successful candidate must complete a criminal history check and a medical test, including drug and alcohol screening. Duties:- Undertake plant, room and equipment routine checks, including cleaning in all areas of the site
- Carry out Machine Shop and Workshop deep clean on a regular basis
- Provide support to the Maintenance Store including forklift operations
- Report any deviations in processing or procedures immediately to supervisors
- Identify and participate in the implementation of CIS
- Participate in workshops and training
Skills/experience: To be successful in this role, you MUST have/be:
- A trade qualification is desirable – Fitter and Turner, Certificate II in Engineering, Mechanical Trade or equivalent
- A forklift ticket is essential
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly and efficiently
- Strong collaboration with other maintenance staff, engineers, and production teams
- A safety conscious approach with knowledge of relevant industry safety standards
- Previous experience within the manufacturing/maintenance sector is highly desired
- A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise tasks and accurately maintain records for completed activities
- Current driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle as the site is difficult to access via public transport
