Seeking a highly experienced Microbiologist to join the team
Based in outer suburbs of Melbourne
Monday to Friday with standard working hours
Casual contract, fulltime hours
Duties, but not limited to:
Perform microbiological testing on samples
Support the team to ensure that the assays performed in each department are prepared and executed in accordance with the code of GMP
Analyse, validate, interpret, and authorise microbiological results
Investigation of out of specification results
Maintain adequate documentation system
Perform result entry in Laboratory Information Management System
Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained / prepared in accordance with approved procedures.
About you:
A Bachelor of Science, majoring in Microbiology or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience performing microbiological testing in a GMP or NATA accredited laboratory
Demostrated experience in the analysis, validation, interpretation and authorisation of microbiological results
Experience in a pharmaceutical environment is highly advantageous
Excellent communication skills and a great attitude
Highly adaptable
