Our client is a well known family-owned business seeking to expand their footprint in Australia.

Renowned for their customer service and bespoke approaches and being an industry leader! They are seeking an ANZ Business Development Manager.

This role offers you the opportunity to be our clients most senior direct representation in the Territory!You will have the ability to contribute and oversee the development of the full Sales pipeline from prospecting and qualification marketing generated leads to closing sales.

This position reports directly to the General Manager or Board members based overseas in Europe.

Our client is seeking a strong communicator who thrives on change, loves meeting new people and developing new relationships.

About the Role:
  • Set and implement performance strategies.
  • Building and developing relationships.
  • Routinely forecast, monitor, and controls expenses within assigned expense budgets.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with national level research and government organisations purposed with driving animal genomic improvement programmes.
  • Enable, optimise and track sales performance using CRM and forecasting tools.
  • Flexible with working hours to meet the needs of a global business, line management and international opportunities.
     
Location: Can be based anywhere in QLD, NSW, or SA (some travel to interstate and overseas will be required)

Skills/Experience

Essential:
  • 5 years’ experience in sales or business development roles.
  • Experience in working within the livestock industry, agri-genomics, agri-business, agricultural sector.
  • Proven ability to quickly develop expertise in market leading animal genomics technologies, optimally match the companies’ technologies and service capabilities to customer needs.
  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate and to perform efficient joint work under minimal supervision, on multi-disciplinary challenges through successful collaborations with researchers from industry and academia.
  • Oral communication skills with the ability to represent the team effectively internally and externally.
  • Adaptability to cope with situations which lack clarity and adapts quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Experiences and demonstrable effective use of CRM systems to manage Sales pipelines. Experience with Salesforce an advantage.
  • Experience in business development of long-term strategic relationships and opportunities
  • Ability to travel interstate and overseas
Desirable:
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant business, science, or equivalent.
To be considered for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and provide a National Police Check or equivalent.
