Operator - Bulk Sample Preparation

About the company/role:

• Global mining organisation - research facility
• Based in the Northern suburbs
• 12 months casual contract, with potential to be ongoing
• Full-time hours, Mon-Fri
• Flexible start time

Duties:

• Preparation and processing of bulk minerals using a range of equipment and machinery
• Processing bulk samples to different sample sizes
• Ensure correct descriptions and labels
• Logging in sample data
• Following SOPs
• Wearing correct PPE and follow strict safety standards
• General housekeeping

Skills/experience:

• Previous experience as an operator in a manufacturing or plant operations environment
• Previous experience within sample preparation (nice to have)
• Forklift license is highly regarded
• Cert IV in Laboratory Techniques (nice to have)
• Excellent time management and communication
• Ability to work independently
• High attention to detail
