About the company/role:
  • Global leader in the water and waste management sector
  • Seeking a liquid plant operator
  • Casual ongoing contract with potential to go permanent
  • Full time hours
  • Based in the Western suburbs
  • Multiple positions available

  • Monitor the arrival of industrial liquid waste at the plant
  • Conduct screening, testing and unloading of industrial liquid waste in accordance with VES policy and procedure
  • Highlight any irregularities and seek clarification from supervisor where appropriate
  • Undertake treatment of industrial liquid
  • Ensure Supervisor is kept informed of issues
  • Monitor the condition of materials and equipment to ensure they are ready for safe use
  • Operate the plant and equipment for the receipt, screening, testing and unloading of industrial liquid waste, while complying with, and promoting, Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and Site Safe Operating Procedures.

About you:

  • An understanding of SCADA/PLC in a highly regulated industry (desirable)
  • Forklift license
  • Previous experience in the waste industry 
  • A certificate III in resource processing (desirable)
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Good planning and organisational skills
