About the company/role:

  • Australian-owned pharmaceutical company that manufactures innovative personal care products is seeking a Packing Supervisor to join their team on Night Shift
  • Sunday - Thursday, 11pm - 7am
  • Based in Southeastern suburbs of Melbourne
  • Full-time opportunity

Duties:

The core purpose of this role is to deliver high‑quality products by empowering and guiding a diverse team. You will play a key role in upholding Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards, managing cost efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that elevate overall team performance. Your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of the packing shift to meet or exceed the production plan while minimizing the wastage of resources.
  • Ensure lines meet desired run rates and that changeover/cleaning targets are consistently achieved.
  • Manage the Packing team through effective training, mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Supervise packing processes to ensure all products meet required quality standards and maintain full GMP compliance.
  • Review completed batch documents
  • prepare Deviation Reports and perform root cause analysis where appropriate.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, and Quality departments to ensure all are aligned in achieving operational goals.

About You:

  • 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Ability to manage a diverse team, including Line Leaders, Machine Setters, and Operators.
  • Skilled in investigating and resolving issues with SAP and Deviations
  • Previous experience on night shift is highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail, planning and organization skills. Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously verify documentation and work quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
