About the role:
  • Our client is an Australian based dairy company that is now distributing and growing sizably internationally. 
  • They are based in the South East suburbs of Melbourne.
  • Rotational 12 hour shift: 1 month on day shift (6am-6pm) and 1 month on night shift (6pm-6am)
  • Flexibility to work every second weekend. 
About your duties:
  • To ensure product parameters are met when mixing, formulating and pasteurizing products.
  • To ensure that product quality is maintained by ensuring cleaning and sanitation schedules are met.
  • Accurately formulate products and assist in recipe development and product trials to meet quality specifications.
  • Sterilisation of equipment, tanks, and lines to ensure hygiene and product integrity.
  • Conduct product testing, raw material sampling, and maintain documentation to support regulatory and quality compliance.
  • Conduct routine operator maintenance including preventative maintenance, manage ingredient ordering, and report malfunctions or defective products.
  • Support production schedules, minimise waste, troubleshoot, and ensure proper documentation, handling of rework and changeovers according to procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members, assist in training, and report issues that may impact operations or product quality.
  • Perform relevant SAP transactions and participate and contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow reasonable instructions and directives issued by management in a timely and cooperative manner.
About you: 
  • Previous experience as a Manufacturing/Blending Operator within the Food Industry
  • Similar experience in Dairy Manufacturing will be highly regarded 
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Outstanding work ethic and attitude
  • Great communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team
