As a
Procurement Officer you’ll report to the
Site Procurement Lead, supporting day-to-day procurement activities. You will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of all purchased materials and services to the manufacturing site.
Duties:- Procure goods and services at optimal cost while ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Negotiate and manage supply contracts
- Coordinate logistics and documentation for imported materials
- Source quotations, create purchase requisitions, and process purchase orders
- Research and evaluate alternative suppliers to ensure supply continuity and cost efficiency
- Monitor price variances, review freight invoices, and address supplier non-conformances
- Maintain accurate supplier and item data in the ERP system
Skills & Experience:- Qualification in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or related discipline (CIPSA/APICS desirable)
- Previous purchasing experience, ideally within a scientific or technical industry (highly regarded)
- ERP and MRP system experience (highly regarded)
- High level of computer literacy
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
