I'm partnering with a diagnostics company in Malaysia in search for a Product Manager who would be responsible for managing and growing the medical diagnostics product portfolio with a strong focus on the pharmacy channel in Malaysia. This role drives product strategy, commercialization, and market penetration for diagnostic products distributed through retail pharmacy chains and independent pharmacies. The role works closely with sales, marketing, and regulatory teams to expand product reach and strengthen brand presence in the local consumer healthcare market.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop the medical diagnostics portfolio across pharmacy channels in Malaysia
- Develop and execute product strategies aligned with retail healthcare and consumer diagnostics trends
- Drive go-to-market plans including product positioning, pricing strategy, and channel activation within pharmacy networks
- Support product launches and ensure strong market penetration across pharmacy chains and independent pharmacies
- Work closely with sales teams and distributors to achieve sales targets and expand pharmacy channel coverage
- Build and maintain relationships with pharmacists, pharmacy chain buyers, and key retail healthcare stakeholders
- Conduct market research to identify trends in self-testing, point-of-care diagnostics, and consumer-driven healthcare behaviour
- Provide product training and sales support materials to internal teams and external partners
- Collaborate with regulatory, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure product availability and compliance with local requirements
- Monitor sales performance, channel performance, and competitor activity to drive continuous improvement
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in product management or marketing within medical diagnostics, IVD, or healthcare products
- Strong understanding of pharmacy retail channel dynamics in Malaysia is highly desirable
