About the company/role:
Our client, provide expert recycling and waste management solutions across Australia to high profile industries are seeking a Production Chemist to join their team. The role is based in the East Arm, Darwin. This is a new full-time permanent vacancy with opportunities to grow and develop as the company expand.

Duties:
 
  • Analysis and sampling of raw materials, in process materials, finished goods and environmental samples to support the site operations.
  • Provide technical support for new and existing laboratory procedures
  • Be actively involved in continuous improvement processes
  • Maintenance and calibration of laboratory and testing equipment
  • Participate in client engagement as required
  • General housekeeping duties, maintenance and quality matters including calibration of equipment and documentation review.
  • Work collaboratively with all group personnel

Skills/experience:
  • A tertiary level qualification in chemistry or scientific discipline
  • Demonstrable chemical or production laboratory experience
  • Knowledge of method development and validation would be an advantage
  • Understanding or working knowledge of glycol testing is highly desirable
  • A demonstrated high level of communication, both verbal and written
