About the company/role:- Our client is a leading radiopharmaceutical manufacturer based in Australia & New Zealand.
- Due to expanding operations in Auckland, are seeking a permanent full-time Production Chemist to join their team.
- Successful candidate will spend 4 months of training in Wellington and then will work full-time in Auckland
- Due to the nature of the business, the successful candidate must be happy to work on a rotating shift basis between day and night
- The successful candidate must also possess a car and valid driver's license
- Must be a NZ citizen or permanent resident
Duties: As a Production Chemist you will be part of a small, dedicated team, responsible for the production of radiopharmaceuticals, assisting with data analysis, reporting and documentation review/development.
- Manufacturing radiopharmaceuticals
- Assist with reagent preparation and testing
- Adherence to all operational procedures within the Quality Management System
- Assist with document development and review
- Assist in labelling, packing, dispatch and logistics as required
Skills & Experience: To be considered for the Production Chemist position candidates must have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Science with Chemistry or related major (essential)
- Previous experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (desirable but not required)
- Experience with using analytical equipment (HPLC, GC)
- Previous experience doing night shift is preferable e.g. in hospitality
- High attention to detail and excellent record keeping skills
- Strong interpersonal skills that will allow for strong collaboration within a team environment
- Positive can-do attitude and a proven ability to show initiative
