We are currently seeking a Production Chemist to join a chemical manufacturing facility in regional Western Australia.
6 months casual contract with potential to transition into a permanent position.
Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm.
Varied role combining quality control testing and production activities.
Supportive team environment with full on-the-job training provided.
About your duties:
Conduct routine quality control testing and basic chemical analysis
Maintain laboratory records and production documentation
Assist with chemical production and processing activities
Support tank filling, liquid transfers and other manufacturing operations
Operate forklifts to transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials
Follow quality, environmental and safety procedures at all times
Contribute to continuous improvement and efficient production processes
About You:
Valid LF Forklift Licence
Previous experience within a manufacturing or chemical production environment will be highly regarded
Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology or a related scientific discipline
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
Ability to perform manual handling tasks and work in a physically active environment
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
