Production Operator

About the Company & Role

Join a well‑established plastic manufacturing company that prides itself on quality production and a supportive team environment. We are currently seeking a reliable and mechanically minded Night Shift Production Operator to join our operations team on an ongoing casual basis, with full‑time hours available.

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 10:00pm – 6:00am
• Employment Type: Casual, ongoing (full‑time hours)
• Location: Altona North 
• Requirements: Valid Forklift Licence is essential

Key Responsibilities

Your day‑to‑day duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and ensuring all production machinery is operating efficiently and safely
• Cleaning, disassembling, and re‑assembling production components as required
• Supporting production schedules and assisting with workflow planning
• Conducting quality checks on rejected or faulty products
• Operating the forklift to move materials and finished goods around the facility

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing, plastics, or similar industrial environment
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues
• A current forklift licence with proven operating experience
• Excellent communication skills, strong time‑management abilities, and effective problem‑solving skills
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently during night shift hours
