About the company/role:
 
Our client, a global environmental organisation, is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Brisbane on a temporary basis for 6-9 months with high likelihood of extension.
 
As a Project Engineer you will work in a multidiscipline team over seeing projects from start to completion. You will be working with a global environmental organisation who take great pride in their world class service and are experts in their field with over 40 years’ experience in water, waste and energy management.
 
Duties:
  • Initiate and deliver projects at multiple sits ranging in value from $10-500K
  • Provide effective and timely preparation and delivery of project and ensure the management and completion of all assigned projects on time and to budget
  • Assist with business development and tender submission including scoping, project planning, design, estimating and procurement
  • Liase with the personal from operations and maintenance asset management teams to ensure successful initiation and implementation of projects.
  • Identify, manage updates and issue-controlled versions of all documentation that needs to be modified as a result of projects.
  • Manage subcontractors and consultants for delivery of projects outcomes.
 
Skills/experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related disciplines
  • Extensive project delivery experience in the water, mining or manufacturing industry
  • Technical writing skills would be highly desirable
  • Experience in financial costing, budget development, monitoring and asset management
  • Knowledge of and experience of Google suite of programs
