About the Company  
Our client, a planet friendly technology company focusing on the manufacturing and research of graphene enhanced energy saving products and solutions, are seeking a Project Engineer to join their team! 

About the Role  

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for: 
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for new projects in collaboration with the engineering team. 
  • Oversee the assembly, installation, and testing of mechanical systems. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. 
  • Provide technical guidance to other engineers and designers. 
  • Conduct quality assurance tests and develop appropriate contingency measures. 
  • Analyse project specifications and develop work schedules. 
  • Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions. 
  • Plan and manage procurement budgets, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and maximizing cost savings. 
  • Collaborate with various departments within the organization, including finance, operations, and production, to ensure timely and accurate procurement of goods and services. 
  • Provide regular reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis and supplier performance. 
  • Develop and maintain procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and requisitions. 

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or related professional qualification and/or equivalent experience in engineering 
  • 2-5 years’ experience working in a mechanical, manufacturing, construction or related industry 
  • Strong project management skills, including the management of contractors, budgets and timelines  
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software  
  • High level of attention to detail and strong communication and interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Thrives in start-up culture and embraces innovation and collaboration
