Our client, a well-known Chemical Manufacturing Organisation, are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate QA Chemist
This is a permanent full time opportunity
This role is based in NZ in Mount Maunganui.
Relocation assistance will be provided.
About your duties: Reporting to the Site Leader, you will be responsible for:
Ensure that dispatched products meet customers specifications and raise those that do not meet specifications as non-conforming products.
Lead & / or participate, in root cause analysis investigations, in response to customer concerns and non-conformance related to product quality, specifications and related services
Perform internal QMS audits as required for the ANZ Region
Lead and / or assist with investigations into site quality issues and determine corrective actions
Assist in the preparation and review of documentation and procedures that are applicable to the Quality Management System
Report quality near misses through ROC /NCR’s system in timely manner
Provide monthly metrics reporting to site management on results/quality issues/trends/recommendations
Stability testing of final product
Participate in plant and supplier quality audit programs for the site
Adhere to quality assurance procedures for testing raw materials, finished goods, and in process testing
Assist in maintaining/updating standard operating procedures and protocols
Prepare laboratory standards and reagents and manufacture reagents used in laboratory
Calibrate site QC equipment and manage external servicing
Ensure GLP and 5S requirements are met for the QC laboratory
Maintain a safe working environment in all laboratory areas of the site
About you:
Tertiary Qualification in Chemistry or related Science discipline
Familiarity with general test procedures, lab terminology and chemical safety in a laboratory and production setting.
Significant experience in quality assurance / control laboratory with team leading in a similar industry
Solid understanding of chemistry principles and their application in laboratory and production environments
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Intermediate level in Microsoft Office PC applications, SAP experience
Detail focused and accuracy
Analytical thinking
The ability to operate in a complex and challenging environment
