About the company/role: Our Sydney office is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Coordinator role with a ready-to-eat meal manufacturer who has a new state-of-the-art facility based in Sydney’s West. This a day shift role and the working hours are 8am-4:40pm. There is some flexibility required to do pre-operational starts at 6am from time to time. The role will have x2 direct QA Officer reports and will report directly into the Quality Manager. This is a perfect opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties:
Provide guidance and leadership to x2 junior QA Officers
Oversee maintenance of the labelling system and other QA systems
Ensure all internal audits are conducted within defined timelines and company requirements
Coordinate any tasks from a quality perspective associated with new product trials
Complete reports related to non-conformances, audits and GMP
Carry out CCP, QCP and GMP training for all production team members
Lead retention sample program along with associated testing requirements
Participate in organoleptic evaluation of finished products
Skills/experience:
Tertiary qualifications in food science or a related discipline
Previous experience leading and coaching a team is essential
Experience working in a chilled short shelf-life manufacturing environment is highly regarded
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, CCPs, allergen control is required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
