About the company/role:

Duties, but not limited to:
  • Develop, implement and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems for all dairy products
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (DFSV, HACCP, SQF)
  • Conduct internal audits, GMP and coordinate external regulatory and third-party audits
  • Oversee and be responsible for product testing, including microbiological, chemical and sensory analyses, ensuring compliance with product specifications.
  • Lead and mentor QC team, providing ongoing training to enhance skills, knowledge and performance in line with quality objectives
  • Promptly investigate and resolve customer complaints concerning product quality to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous improvement
  • Lead troubleshooting of product quality issues and develop, implement, and monitor corrective and preventative actions to ensure long-term resolution and continuous improvement 
  • Maintain quality records, SOPs, and certifications as per industry and regulatory standards
About you:
  • Tertiary qualification in Dairy or Food Science 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing Quality and in house laboratory of a food manufacturing facility
  • A thorough understanding of Food Safety Codes (FSANZ) and food safety regulating bodies DFSV, DAWE and SQF and major retail customers' quality standards
  • Experience in managing food labelling and product specifications
  • Experience as SQF/HACCP Practioner
  • NPD and dairy industry (Milk & Yoghurt) exposure highly regarded
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment 
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills
