QA/QC Officer

About company/role:

• Major food/beverage manufacturing
• Based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne
• Seeking graduates in Food Science or Chemistry
• 3-month casual contract, fulltime hours
• Two positions available:
  • Day shift (6am-2pm), Mon-Fri
  • Night shift (6pm-6am), 7-day fortnight roster

Duties, but not limited to:

• Collecting samples from manufacturing line
• QC testing of raw materials and finished products using basic wet chemistry techniques (titrations, pH, brix, HPLC)
• Batch release
• Assisting with sensory evaluations
• Data entry and result compilation
• Check and fill-in quality paperwork
• General housekeeping and maintenance of lab
• Ensure GMP standards

Skills/experience:

• Tertiary education in Food science, Chemistry, or similar
• Good understanding of chemistry analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and time management
• Must have a car
