QA/QC Officer

About the company/role:

• Major food manufacturing company
• Based close to Melbourne CBD
• Short-term position for 6-7 weeks covering leave
• Full-time, casual contract
• Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
• Full training provided - gradautes encouraged to apply!

Duties include, but not limited to:

• QC sample scanning and verification
• Pack samples to send to external labs and interpret results
• Review of CoAs and quality related documentation
• Update SOPs with supervisor guidance
• Verification of production QC checks
• Ensure GMP regulations are met
• Administrative work such as emails, update templates
• General housekeeping

Skills/experience:

• Tertiary education in Food Science, Nutrition Science or closely related
• Previous food manufacturing experience in a similar position
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to listen well and take direction
• Ability to ask questions when required and communicate with various individuals of different backgrounds and positions
• Understanding of GMP and HACCP
